Heat Pump Musty Odor- Dirty Socks Syndrome Solution? - dirty sock syndrome
In the regeneration mode is my heat pump, a musty smell, like wet sawdust between dirty socks. I've heard that it can be caused by moisture in the coils. Anyone with ideas about how to eliminate the odor?

Very possible, however, if your system is the correct size should be no problem molds.
Check the direction of the trap to see if it is connected. Check the air filter, air low because of the mold.
Spray your wheels with a solution of bleach and water.
